Make it part of your pilates and yoga practice to arrive early. Getting to class
about 10 minutes early can help you settle in and align your intention for practice.
Being
on time for class minimizes distractions to fellow students and the teacher.
Plan on staying through the whole class. Leaving class early is distracting to fellow students and the
teacher.
Tell
your teacher about any injuries or special health conditions that might affect your practice. If you are injured or tired,
skip poses and exercises you can’t or shouldn’t do or try a modified version.
Remove
your shoes before entering the studio… PLEASE NO SHOES IN THE STUDIO
Please
turn off cell phones, pagers & anything that makes noise.
Please
refrain from wearing fragrances as some people are allergic to strong odors.
Bring
a towel and plenty of water especially if you are attending a vigorous class or Hot Yoga.
Read
class descriptions and take the class that’s appropriate for your level of experience.
Ego's should be left outside the studio.
Please
clean mats off after each use with our tea tree oil disinfectant.
Come
in with anmind and anheart and take time afterwards to think about what you learned in class. Review
the poses and/or exercises you practiced and note any instructions that particularly made sense. Even if you remember
just one thing from each class, you’ll soon have a lot of information that can deepen your own personal practice.
The
most important thing…let go, be present and enjoy yourself. |
